May Wrap Up

May is over, already? Where has my year gone? Okay this month was so much better reading wise than April. I read a total of 15 (I’m adding my re read of ACOTAR and ACOMAF) books from my 25 books in my May TBR (I knew going in that I wouldn’t read them all) even when life got a bit in the way of my reading, I’m satisfied with this. It’s almost back to normal for me 🙂 and I have a few 5 stars and 4 stars reads in there too (quality over quantity) I also wrote a lot for my blog, between reviews, recommendations and a couple of discussions so yes this was a good month.

Now to the books and their ratings.

  • Mr Romance by Leysa Reyven – 3.5 stars

It was an interesting take on a male escort (without the sex) I really enjoyed the role playing involved. I’ll post a review soon, I hope.

  • Where good girls go to die by Holly Renee – 3 stars

It was ok, an angsty new adult to pass the time. Not really memorable in my opinion but entertaining while you read it.

  • Before I Ever met you by Karina Halle – 3.5 stars

I love the male character in this book, he was perfect. Karina Halle it’s always entertaining to read. Review to Come.

  • A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas – 5 stars

I love this book and this series, as you guys probably know already 😉 and this was my read of the month so I don’t need to say more. Here’s my review

  • The traitor’s Kiss by Erin Beaty – 4stars

Really good debut I really enjoyed the plotting and the intrigue. Here’s my review

  • The Knight by B.B. Reid – 2.75 stars

It was disappointing not what I expected after the first book which I really enjoyed.

  • 180 Seconds by Jessica Park – 3.5 stars

This book made me cry, it certainly is not perfect but it manages to grip your emotions. Here’s my review

  • Sweet Home by Tillie Cole – 3 Stars

I usually love most of what I read from Tillie Cole but this particular book I found problematic, I couldn’t relate to the characters.

  • Be my hero by Linda Kage – 4stars

I love each book I’ve read in thist series, it’s one of my recent favorites angsty, fun new adult. Review To Come

  • This is war by Kennedy Fox – 3 stars

I wanted to like this book more than I did but I might have had too high expectations.

  • Revelry by Kandi Steiner – 5 stars

This was perfect, a beautiful second chance at life story. Review to Come

  • The Hotshot by Kristen Callihan –  4 Stars

Another great read for me this  month. Review to Come

  • Flame in the Mist by Renee Ahdieh – 4 Stars

This book was amazing, exactly what I needed to read. An increíble story I’ll gush about soon on my review.

flame in the mist

So, overall a very good reading month even if I didn’t complete all of my 25 TBR books for the month (it was a bit unrealistic but I like to push myself from time to time) The unread books will go to my backlist to be picked up again maybe soon, we’ll see. Now on to my June TBR.

How many books did you read in May? Let me know all about it in the comments.

As Always

Happy reading
