The Candy Book Tag

When I saw this at Beth’s blog Reading Every Night  I thought what could be better for Halloween than a Tag about candy? I’m celebrating my Halloween all through the month of October and I’m doing my best to keep my posts and tags as Halloweeny as possible… so, candy is really important for this festivity (for a lot of us at least and it’s candy people who can say no to that??) Getting back on track let’s get to the questions…

Ah. Healthy food. It is deep, meaningful, and probably won a lot of awards but, um, it really isn’t your thing.

I have a few… most of them books that I had to read for either High school or College…

  • Cien Años de Soledad – Gabriel Garcia Marquez— (I dislike this book, I really do…it might be an award winning book but I hate it…
  • Cuando Quiero Llorar no Lloro – Miguel Otero Silva— It’s a good book, but when I read it back when I was in College I was going through one of the worst times of my life and the book got mixed up with all those feelings and it just a bad reminder of that…

Milk Chocolate:

This is a book you’d recommend to absolutely EVERYONE.

For me recommending books in real life it’s hard, because I don’t have many friends who love to read and I always try to find the right book for them depending on their tastes…and I’m not always sure that my favorites fit the bill in that regard….But the few books that come to mind that I have recommended (calmly telling them that they have to read them or die) are the Six of Crows Duology by Leigh Bardugo and The ACOTAR series by Sarah J. Maas..

Black Jellybeans:

Why do these exist??

Sometimes I have a strong dislike for a story but not to this extent….what I do complain about and I ask myself “Why does this exist?” a lot is— Why must every single YA Fantasy Book must have a freaking love triangle??? Seriously why??? Is it that hard to just pick someone and stick with them??? And is it so hard to think some other plot twist to fill the story??? Come on!!!

Chocolate Kisses:

Awww this novel had the best romance.

I have a few of these but the most recent one I read and completely loved the story, flaws and all was Ghosted by J. M. Darhower… What a great second chance romance book, if you like those go check it out it’s amazing..

Gummy Spiders:

Eek! You made sure to check under your bed every night for a week after reading this scary one.

I don’t scare easy with books, if at all…so nothing really comes to mind for this sorry!!!

Jumbo Lollipop:

This took you forever to get through, but hey! You did it!

It’s a good book and I don’t want to make you think that’s it’s not by saying that it took me forever to finish…I wasn’t in the right frame of mind I guess …. The Dark of the Moon by E.S. Bell….It’s a long one and very complicated you can’t miss anything so I struggled a bit with it…

Cotton Candy:

Admit it, you loved this when you were younger (you probably still do). Think children’s or MG fiction.

Fairy tales…I had collections of them from the cute ones to the downright creepy ones…I loved them when I was a kid…and I still do only the more grown up ones….😁😁

This was my take on The Candy Book tag … I hope you liked it and if you haven’t done this tag before but would like to then Go Ahead I tag You!!!

As Always

Happy Reading
