I can’t hardly believe we’re in November already, where has the year gone??? In a blink of an eye it will be Christmas (which is great because more book buying!!! Justified at least) Anyway, let’s get back on track here… There are a few new books coming this month that sound quite appealing (nothing rare there…I know that I have a book buying problem but I just don’t care) So, let’s get the list rolling for this week new releases..
- Renegades – Marissa Meyer
She wants vengeance. He wants justice.
The Renegades are a syndicate of prodigies—humans with extraordinary abilities—who emerged from the ruins of a crumbled society and established peace and order where chaos reigned. As champions of justice, they remain a symbol of hope and courage to everyone…except the villains they once overthrew.
Nova has a reason to hate the Renegades, and she is on a mission for vengeance. As she gets closer to her target, she meets Adrian, a Renegade boy who believes in justice—and in Nova. But Nova’s allegiance is to the villains who have the power to end them both.
I’m highly anticipating this book because I got into a Sci/Fi vibe after reading Marie Lu’s Warcross — I just hope that it’s not all Hype..
Complicated – Kristen Ashley
When small town Nebraska sheriff Hixon Drake meets Greta Dare, the connection couldn’t be stronger, but the timing couldn’t be worse.
Dealing with the fallout of a divorce he never wanted and setting up a new home for his kids, Hix becomes that guy, that one he never wanted to be, and puts a stop to things before they can even start. Protecting his kids, and himself, is his only priority.
Greta, on the other hand, has found the place for her and the brother she adores that’s perfect for them—a sleepy little town in Nebraska. She’s learned from life that there are no hopes and dreams. The only thing to look forward to is peace. And that’s what she works hard to build for herself and her brother. Right up until Hix walks into her life.
Hix can’t fight the pull and stay away from Greta for long. And Greta’s finding it hard not to hope for something more with all the promise that is Hix.
But when the first murder that’s happened in over five decades rocks his small, sleepy county, Hix has got to learn to trust again, convince Greta to take a shot with him, and at the same time catch a killer.
In other words, things are definitely…Complicated.
I freaking love her books, even thought I still have ton of them to catch upon (so many books, too little time — the story of my life) .
- Haven – Mary Lindsey
“We all hold a beast inside. The only difference is what form it takes when freed.”
Rain Ryland has never belonged anywhere. He’s used to people judging him for his rough background, his intimidating size, and now, his orphan status. He’s always been on the outside, looking in, and he’s fine with that. Until he moves to New Wurzburg and meets Friederike Burkhart.
Freddie isn’t like normal teen girls, though. And someone wants her dead for it. Freddie warns he’d better stay far away if he wants to stay alive, but Rain’s never been good at running from trouble. For the first time, Rain has something worth fighting for, worth living for. Worth dying for.
A sort of Beauty and the beast retelling with a mystery vibe to it.. can’t pass it up..
- Hooking Up – Helena Hunting
Amalie Whitfield is the picture of a blushing bride during her wedding reception–but for all the wrong reasons. Instead of proclaiming his undying love, her husband can be heard, by Amalie and their guests, getting off with someone else. She has every reason to freak out, and in a moment of insanity, she throws herself at the first hot-blooded male she sees. But he’s not interested in becoming her revenge screw.
Mortified and desperate to escape the post-wedding drama, Amalie decides to go on her honeymoon alone, only to find the man who rejected her also heading to the same tiny island for work. But this time he isn’t holding back. She should know better than to sleep with someone she knows, but she can’t seem to resist him.
They might agree that what happens on the island should stay on the island, but neither one can deny that their attraction is more than just physical.
I’ve heard that her books are hilarious and really good romances so maybe I’ll check this one out.. finally.
- The Becoming of Noah Shaw – Michelle Hodkin
In the first book of the Shaw Confessions, the companion series to the New York Times bestselling Mara Dyer novels, old skeletons are laid bare and new promises prove deadly. This is what happens after happily ever after.
Everyone thinks seventeen-year-old Noah Shaw has the world on a string.
Mara Dyer is the only one he trusts with his secrets and his future.
And both are scared that uncovering the truth about themselves will force them apart.
Another series that I have yet to read and the spin off is already out… I need more time to read .. seriously!!
- The Outliers – T. M. Frazier
Sensual. Heartbreaking. Passionate. Overwhelming. Maddening.
That’s the love Finn and I share.
It’s the kind you can never recover from.
The kind you never WANT to recover from.
That’s why we’ll do everything and anything to protect it.
When my past chases me all the way to Outskirts, we have to make a choice.
Let the lies destroy our chance at future together or…bury them deep in the swamp where they belong.
Got a shovel?
I’m so hooked on her King Series and all that darkish goodness that I couldn’t let this one slide…
- Disturbed – Jennifer Jaynes
On Halloween night five years ago, Chelsea Dutton’s college roommates were viciously stabbed to death, and Chelsea was critically injured. She was found hiding in her apartment’s bathtub, barely clinging to life.
With only fragments of shattered memory, she’s been trying her best to move past the nightmares ever since. Now in Boston, she lives a somewhat reclusive life, working from home as a medical transcriptionist and bingeing on mindless television shows.
She can’t shake the fear that her attacker is out there, waiting to finish what he started, and Elizabeth, a nurse she met after the murders, is the only person she can trust.
When someone from her past reemerges, Chelsea starts receiving disturbing messages and worries that her every move is being watched. As the messages mount and her memories begin to return, she’s led to a very terrifying and lonely place. But she needn’t be afraid. She won’t be alone there for long.
A little remnant of Halloween, this Thriller sounded good.
My fellow book addicted bookworms I hope you found some goodies on my little list…It’s good to help keep up our addiction (That sounds bad) Let me know what are your anticipated releases for the week?? I want to Know…
