I’m pretty sure that a lot of fellow readers out there know that sometimes we need something to drink while we enjoy our favorite book… Am I right? It can be a huge cup of coffee (That’s probably me… especially in the morning), a nice fresh iced tea (which I wouldn’t say no now, because it’s so frigging hot here), a delicious mug of Hot chocolate… it’s a pick your poison situation…
And yet, there are those books that need something more, something along the lines of a chilled glass of wine (I’m so sorry if you are underage and can’t drink… maybe the hot chocolate will work??)..
It’s those books that pack a punch and toy with your emotions… those that will break you and put you back together .. So, we need the fortitude to push through them and come out unscathed (mostly)..
I have a list of 7 books that are exactly like that, so, find your favorite brand of wine… pour yourself a glass and just relax while you pick your next Wine Worthy read…
- The Full Tilt Duet by Emma Scott
This duet is first one of Emma Scott’s books on this list (she kind of is a Wine worthy Author — That sounded a little weird). Even if these books have been around for a while, they are still as amazing as ever… This is the kind of read that will leave you heartbroken and yet happy… You will wish things would happen differently but deep down you just know that everything that happened had to happened just like that… So take a huge gulp and dive in, just don’t forget the tissues..
- The Beautiful Hearts Duet By Emma Scott
This Woman knows how to write.. let me tell you, this book is about loyalty, family (even if it’s not by blood) Friendship, and strength… strength to overcome the odds, to seize the opportunities that come along, to forgive others and yourself, and to never lose hope…
- The Last Letter by Rebecca Yarros
I did my review of this book not long ago and let just say that if you needed a glass of wine with any book it would be this one… you will need the strength. This book will punch you in the feels, and you won’t be able to defend yourself…
- The Black Swan Affair by K. L. Kreig
I’m not a huge fan of love triangles, but this one was masterfully done.. You will feel the struggle, the uncertainty of making a choice and whether it is the right one.. for all involved.. it’s not apologetic or full of excuses, it’s just raw… and worthy of a huge glass of wine..
- A Thousand Boy Kisses by Tillie Cole
This is sweet, full of hope and so very heartbreaking… It’s about growing up, about those bonds that so very dear to us and how they withstand the test of time and even death… this is a truly beautifully sad story that will have you smiling through your tears … believe me I know..
These are my Wine Worthy Picks, I hope you find some to add to your TBR and enjoy them with the relevant glass of the spirited drink… if you have read any let me know what your thoughts about it are and if you have any other book recommendations that fit this list let me know in the comments below..
