Hollywood is a temptress, a trickster, a soul-stealing devil. I married an A-list player, knowing I come second place to his craft. But Lucas and I are a golden couple, a modern-day fairy tale.
I’ve never doubted what we built…until the sudden death of Lucas’s best friend has scandal rocking the Hills and shaking the foundation of our relationship.
I chose Lucas as my safe haven…he chose the role of a lifetime.
For the next three months, I’ll share my nights with a stranger, watching as he buries his pain, immersed in his role and living as someone else.
We’ve done this before. I tell myself it’s just another movie, and he’ll return to me.
I should’ve known this time would be different.
To get my husband back, I’ll need the strength of ten men.
As it turns out, I’ll have to go through two.
This book blew me away… it was so unlike anything I’ve read lately… How it was written, the pacing, the story, the characters.. I truly don’t know where to begin guys…
This book is a romance book about and hot and famous actor and his normal girl, but it goes so far beyond what we know about the traditional Hollywood romance… You will get different timelines in which we will see the realtionship as it begun, then developed and how it’s now in the breaking point… And it’s all so wonderfully intertwined that to say that you get immersed in the story is an understatement…
This book is not just about the romance, it’s about friendship and loyalty, about guilt and loss… about depression and how it affects all around us without none being the wiser… It’s about the struggles to keep a marriage alive and whether it is worth it.. about not allowing to lose yourself… It is a complex book let me tell you..
“Do you know what the definition of hell is? Because I do. It’s getting the life you wanted only to fuck it up because you didn’t know how to embrace it and be happy.”
It also brings up Method acting which is a technique that has always intrigued me for it’s complexity not only for the Actor itself but for those around him/her… It was so very intersting to read about it…
I don’t want to give too much of the story away, it’s one of those that should be experienced without knowing to much of it, just be aware that you will be in for the bumpiest ride and you will love every minute of it…
