TBRS and Wrap Ups

Books I Read this Week – Sept 27th to Oct 3rd

Hello bookwors! another week has gone by, and I can’t believe we are getting close to the end of this hellish year… I truly hope that 2021 is much better than this… It’s finally October and Halloween is around the corner (even if this year is going to be a weird one) I’m still going to try to watch my traditional Horror flicks and my read my Spooky Books..

Enough rambling introduction and let’s get to what you’re here for, the books… I read 4 books this week (not counting Arcs which go on a separate list) I was a little under the weather and I took advantage of that to read… I must say that the book I read were entertaining to say the least, but mostly the stories were very “WTF am I reading right now??”

  • Sea of Ruin by Pam Goodwin — This is the first book I have read by this author and OMG! It was not what I was expecting at all… It’s off the charts hot, very dark for a historical, and I was left speechless..

  •  See No Evil and Hear No Evil by Ivy Fox — Another new to me author and one I’ll be checking out more of… these books aren’t perfect by any means.. but they are addicting in a weird way. It’s the usual secret society/bully trope but with a twist that leaves you wanting to figure out who is the villain (I have my theories and I’m curious to see if I’m right) It’s also freaking hot — not for the faint of heart.

  • In Peace Lies Havoc by Amo Jones — I’m quite familiar with Amo Jones’ writing style  and her dark and over the top sotrylines.. but this book takes the cake.. I love the atmosphere it has, the carnivalesque, cirque de soleil gone rogue kind of vibe… plus a whloe lot of things that I won’t spoil for any of you… just be aware that you will be saying WTF everyfew pages getting through this book.

This was a fun reading week and I’m hoping this next one is better since I’m tackling one of my most anticipated releases of the year… (thanks to a lovely friend of mine who’s always gifting me with awesome books) Are you curious to know which book I’m talking about? Well.. chec in with me next one to find out…
