Another week has gone by and we are almost to the end of the year (Anyone else wants a preview of 2021?) Anyway, I don’t want to bore you guys with a long intro or with my pseudo attempts at humour … so, let’s cut to the good stuff…
I read four books this week, it seems that 4 is my lucky number.. although I’m not counting ARCs and Requested reviews (those have a separate place now as you might know).
The funny thing is that 3 of those books were from one author — where has B. Celeste been all my reading life? — I just picked one of her books and got myself hooked.. I just had to read more from her.. and here we are…
Let me tell you a bit about them:
The Truth about Heartbreak by B. Celeste
This is my level of angst… there’s a forbidden aspect as well (there’s cheating involved so, stear clear if that’s not your thing at all) but the way the story it’s put together.. you want to rage at the characters for so many bad decicions and for bad timing, it was so real.. I really liked it (cheating and all — don’t judge me)
The Truth about Tomorrow by B. Celeste
Okay, this book isn’t for everyone… just from the get go… there’s a significant age gap and it will make some people very uncomfortable. Me? Not at all, I’m twisted like that — only with books.. not at all in Real Life, just so we are clear. It was a heart wrenching story about two people who were so similar, buit with such different backgrounds.. about how they complemented each other and how they tried to make the other better regardless of the age difference they had.. It deals with abuse, depression and how to work through the darkest times in your life..
Under The Sycamore Tree by B. Celeste
This was the final nail in my coffin guys… this book destroyed me.. It’s a great book, it’s sad, happy, sweet, maddening.. every emotion you can think of this book will make you feel them.. You know from the get go that it won’t end well but still you need to experience their journey.. Don’t forget the tissues if you want to give this a try.
Subscriber Wars by Kristy Marie
The total opposite of the previous books, this book is drama free (kind of) and it’s hilarious… I had so much fun reading.. I laugh out loud in some parts and I enjoy the setting a lot (which is a nod to You Tube/Tik Tok and all it entails)
These were the books that I was lucky enough to enjoy this week.. Let me know in the comments if you have read any of these and what you thought about them…And if you want to help me keep on creating and making you at least smile a bit with my quirky posts just buy me a coffee (Ko-fi page) and support my work.
As Always
Happy Reading
I should check out these books!
