Hello fellow bookworms, I‘m still going through My Manga reading fest (It‘s easier For me to read manga, when I have trouble focusing my attention.. And that has been happening a lot lately) Moving on from dark subjects I wanted to discuss two awesome Manga and their Anime Adaptation… Hori San to Miramuya Kun (Horimiya) and Haiku (I know I‘m a little late to this bandwagon But I Don‘t care). Let the manga Galore begin..
Hori San to Miyamura Kun (Horimiya) by Hagiwara, Daisuke (Art), HERO (Story)
This manga is exactly what every cute slice of life should be… it has Great characters, Comedic episodes, relatable situations and The most adorable romance… I‘m serious there‘s not just one thing to pick as well as not just one character to love…
We start with the premise of appearances Vs who we really are… Hori is clean and cute girl At school while At home she‘s just pure comfort due to having to take care of her little brother and all the house chores…. Miyamura is quiet and gloomy at school chosing to keep himself separate for reasons we’ll learn as we read while he’s true nature actually is Kind and silly, even with his edgy look.
They get to know each other By chance outside of school, and they realize they have so much in common…they just click and you will click with Them as well… But they are not The only characters that will strike your heart, There‘s an incredible group of friends that are just as important as our main leads… We will see them all grow, and deal with their everyday life.. Funny situations, as well as sad ones… The manga has an episodic Feel to it.. And It works great… It‘s still an ongoing series, But It‘s supposed to be ending soon I believe (I‘m going to be sad when It happens)
The Anime adaptation is currently airing and It‘s one of The best I’ve seen.. It captures The heart of The manga, Even If they do cut a few Things here and there.. Also The artwork and animation are beautiful. Just go watch it or read it if you are a manga reading fan like me, and even if you’re not it might surprise you.
Haikyuu by Furudate, Haruichi (Story & Art)
If I had to choose a word to describe this particular manga It would be Teamwork… This is what is all about, and yet it’s also about so much more, the competition, healthy rivalry, character growth, and friendship…
It‘s one of The best sports manga I‘ve read (Where The plot is mostly based on The game and The team) It amaze to watch them go from a down on their luck Volley ball team to one of The Top competitors… Bit By bit, they explore their individual talents and Make them work for the team it’s so fulfilling to watch….
I have to admit that I started reading The manga after watching The anime, so I‘m biased (more of an anime fan than the manga in this case).. Seeing The plays animated is much more exciting than in the manga but The emotion still comes across quite well.. I am. Slightly disappointed that The artwork in The anime went a bit downhill ( That awful 4th season) But It is still a great series to read and watch..
