Hello Everybody! It’s official… Misty from Misty’s Book Space and I are Hosting TropeAthon once again. It’s been a while, I know… But you know how the world went to hell with a pandemic… and there was some personal issues that got in the way… but we have decided to put on our big girl pants (sort of speak) and have some fun again with you guys and our Trope related Readathon..
It will start on October 1st, and it’s going to be ongoing for the whole month. It should be a relaxed and fun time with no pressure to fulfil a timeline… you can work around whichever other readathon and challenge you might have already planned (in fact those can help you with our little tropeathon)…
So, let’s get to how it all works:
Guidelines:
We have planned a 25 Trope Bingo Board with tropes that should work with every genre.. We are both romance readers at heart but we know not everyone is (misguided as that is) So we wanted to include as many tropes as we could so there wouldn’t be an issue with anyone who wanted to take part.
You can fill as many squares as you want, cross a line whichever way (horizontal, diagonal)Or Just pick the four corners… you chose.. you make the rules of when you read, and what you read. One book can work for multiple tropes or you could go the hard way around and do one book for each trope listed on the board..
There will be a Bonus round: 3 Tropes that will have set dates, a week each… those will count for 2 squares on the board if the books chosen are read within their appointed dates.
Finally, we will have a group read (there will be a poll at the end of this post to choose which book it will be, as well as on our Social Media Accounts). We chose some thrillery books because they fit the atmosphere of the month. You’ll have the whole month the read it (if you want) and we will host a discussion @Tropeathon1 on the last week of October.
