Hey fellow bookworms, I’m back with another review. If you know me, (if you have been a follower for a while), you know that I take my five star ratings very seriously…. I don’t give them lightly. I have plenty of books that I adore that are 4 starts because there’s always a little tiny pinprick of annoyance somewhere that I can’t overcome… Am I too picky? Maybe. But it is what it is..
So, when I say that I have a five-star book, you … You should know I mean business.. and that’s exactly the case right now… I apologize if the review tends to be a little on the vague side, but I strongly suggest going in with as little detail as possible (basic info actually) because once you are into the book you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
Esperance By Heather Frost
I only regret one thing about this book, and that’s not saving it for my Tropeathon readathon… it would have fit perfectly with the fantasy theme we had for this month.
This book was the perfect blend between intriguing (keep you on the edge of your seat guessing) plot and character building (as well as relationship development).
Even the world building sucks you right in… it’s exactly what I look for in a fantasy romance kind of book… and the Romance is top notch, the slow build up, the attraction despite the distrust… and the secrets… it’s perfect.
I don’t want to give too much away and I know that if I let myself I will spoil it and, trust me, you don’t want that… Just know that you will have your romantic needs fulfilled, you will think you know where the story is going but you will be so wrong in the best way and you will dive into a world where you’ll be craving the next release as soon as you finish the last page.
