My Sci/Fi Recommendations

fscifirecsfinaledit.jpg

I’m not much of a Science Fiction reader which I’ve always found strange since I do enjoy Science Fiction in movies and TV series. Even so I have found a few books and series that I think are quite entertaining. All of these have a Science fiction element (aliens, space travel, superpowers, robotics, etc) mixed up with a bit of romance because that’s my thing (you should know this by now if you follow my blog 😉  ) So, if you like that mix, I think you should check them out.

Starflight Series by Melissa Landers

It has a lot of humor, great banter and and interesting story. I did love the first book, but the second one not so much. They can be read as stand alones so there’s no cliffhanger. It’s a Young Adult Space Adventure and I do know she has other series about aliens that I have yet to read.

The Lux Series by Jennifer L. Armentrout

I read this series a while ago and I freaking love it. It’s an ongoing series so you have to read it in order. It’s about aliens living on earth, lots of romance and the last couple of books are full of action, but this is not for everyone some love it like I do and some hate it because they find it too much on the romance side of the spectrum so bear that in mind if you decide to give it a try.

defy the stars

Constellations Series by Claudia Gray

One of my recent reads and it was an amazing one. It reminded me a bit of Star Wars, maybe becase of the political otherwordly intrigue and the rebellion. But what I like most were the characters they were so well done, so well developed. Totally worth checking out.

Shades of honor           Shades of treason

Anomaly Series by Sandy Williams

This has an interesting premise, a forbidden romance, lots of action and kick ass main characters, my only complain it’s how long it takes between books.

Ava Gray Skin series

I read this series a while ago and I remember loving it. (I might do a re read soon) Super powers, a government conspiracy and steamy relationships (Adult content) quite the entertaining read. Awful Covers I know but don’t judge them for it.

Born of night      Born of ice      Born of fire

Sherrilyn Kenyon league

One of my first reads in this sci/fi romance genre and I still love it quite a few books later. Full of action adventure and romance totally worth checking out. At least 10 books are out in this series.

Honorable Mention

red rising     golden son     Morning star

Red Rising Series by Pierce Brown

I have yet to read this series but it’s been highly recommended to me by people who’s opinion I trust when it comes to books that I might enjoy therefor the honorable mention.

I hope you liked my few Sci/Fi recommendations and that in them you find a new book or more to add to your favorites.

If you have some recommendations similar to these let me know in the comments, it’s great to find new books to read and love.

As always

Happy Reading

Michelle

  1. Great post! I am so curious about Red Rising… funnily enough Sci-fi is not something I read very often, although I do like it a lot. The Lux Series has been recommended by so many people… my fingers are itching to put it on my TBR! Also, I think you saw already, but I have tagged you in the Unpopular Bookish Opinions Tag, if you want to participate 🙂 (sorry if you’ve done this one already!).

    1. OMG I didn’t see that you had tagged me, I’m sorry but funny enough that tag is on my schedule. I think it’s due in two weeks since I do tags on Mondays. Thanks for the tag. About the Lux series it’s such a fast and fun read that you should put it on the TBR for sure.

      1. No worries, I think this has been going on around for a while, so I wasn’t sure who had been tagged already! Thank you for the recommendation, I will add it to my TBR… although I’ve never seen this book in the bookstores here, hopefully Amazon has it

  2. Ah, I still have Defy The Stars on my TBR! I’ve heard pretty good things about it, so I should read it, but I’m not sure if I’ll get to it this year! XD I absolutely LOVE the Red Rising trilogy and hope you read it soon! ❤
